You will work closely with the Visual Merchandising, Retail Planning & Assortment Planning, IT, and HR teams to continuously improve profitability, productivity, and the customer experience. Together with your peers in E-Commerce and Wholesale, you will ensure that customers experience Jack Wolfskin seamlessly across all channels – as a true omni-channel brand.
Your role in the Wolfpack:
- Overall responsibility for the commercial performance of all retail and franchise stores in your region.
- Increase profitability, productivity, and sales per square meter through operational excellence, process optimization, and targeted investments.
- Develop and implement a clear retail strategy to drive sales and margin growth.
- Actively manage and optimize cost structures, staffing, and store performance KPIs.
- Ensure a strong and consistent brand presence across all stores in close collaboration with Visual Merchandising and Marketing.
- Work closely with Retail Planning and Assortment Planning to align product ranges with customer needs and regional requirements.
- Further develop retail tools, systems, and processes in cooperation with IT and HR.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the retail management team – focusing on ownership, results orientation, and team spirit.
- Continuously analyze KPIs, market trends, and competitor activities; derive concrete actions to improve performance.
- Play an active role in advancing our omni-channel strategy together with the Heads of E-Commerce and Wholesale.
What you bring:
- Degree in business administration or a comparable qualification.
- At least 15 years of operational experience in retail management, ideally within an international lifestyle, outdoor, or sports brand.
- Proven success in improving profitability and productivity across multiple countries and store formats.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in building high-performing, results-driven teams.
- Deep understanding of omni-channel structures, retail KPIs, and store operations.
- Strong analytical abilities combined with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset.
- Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken; additional European languages are an advantage.
- You are an outdoor enthusiast – you live the values of our brand and have a deep understanding of the outdoor industry, its target groups, and trends.
